Is BaitCloud safe for the environment?

Absolutely! BaitCloud has been formulated with 100% food-grade, natural ingredients to ensure it is not harmful to any aquatic life. BaitCloud balls dissolve in the water without leaving behind any waste or litter.

Is BaitCloud attached to my fishing line?

BaitCloud balls are designed to sink naturally without tethers or accessories that would interfere with your fishing spot. Each ball also has a centerline hole — so you can thread one onto your line if you want to control depth and location, or if local regulations require attractants to be attached to the line.

How long does it last?

While we'd love to tell you exactly how long it lasts, the answer depends on the conditions you're fishing in. Our testing shows the colder the water, the longer the BaitCloud ball will last while it's bubbling. The scent cloud itself, however, lingers well after the fizzing action has stopped.

How does it work?

Simply toss the BaitCloud ball into the water where you plan to fish — next to a dock, near a weed edge, or down your ice fishing hole. BaitCloud starts attracting fish immediately and keeps working long after it has fully dissolved. The rate of dissolution depends on a few factors, like water currents and temperature.

Is BaitCloud legal for fishing tournaments?

It's each angler's responsibility to confirm what's permitted at each tournament — check with the tournament director before using BaitCloud in an event. Because BaitCloud doesn't contain any fish parts or chum, it generally doesn't conflict with most tournament rules. You can use it in any situation where a liquid or gel attractant is allowed.

Can I use BaitCloud in saltwater?

BaitCloud is formulated specifically for freshwater fishing — lakes, rivers, ponds, and ice fishing holes. The product was developed and tested for freshwater conditions. We don't recommend it for saltwater applications. Save BaitCloud for your freshwater trips, where the cloud, scent, and fizz can do their job.

How many BaitCloud balls should I use?

One ball is typically enough to create a strong attraction zone in your fishing spot. In larger areas, deeper water, or strong current, you may want to use multiple balls or resupply throughout the day to keep the cloud active. There's no wrong answer — fish your spot, watch the action, and add another if you feel it needs a refresh.
